My Monday in pictures

My day started at 12:30 AM when Summer got me up for her first feeding.  Usually she eats at 10-11 PM then sleeps till 2 AM but last night was different,.  So up at 12:30 AM, back in bed at 1 AM.  Up for Summer's second feeding at 3 AM (ugh zombie mode), back in bed at 4 AM.  Preston got the 5:30 AM feeding then went to work so I was able to sleep until 7:30 AM.  I guess this is actually when my day began....

8 AM
Summer plays on her activity mat every morning as soon as she wakes up.  Sometimes she will lay here for an hour "talking" and grabbing at her animals.  She's so funny to watch...

9 AM
Her first nap of the morning - I'm so proud of her!  After 2 months of fighting naps, I can now put her down 3-4 times a day for a nap with no crying!  I swaddle her, lay her in her crib, wind up her "poohs", she takes her pacifier and goes right to sleep!  This is my time to go get a shower :-)

Except this morning, I made apple zucchini muffins instead!  Homemade!  Probably the best muffins I've ever had....

10:30 AM

Awake from her nap!  This was how she looked when I went and got her from her crib... smiling away at her pooh bears.  She loves those things. 

 

Time to change her and get her ready for the day!  This is her favorite part.  She always laughs and talks to me while we get her dressed. 

11 AM - 1 PM

I had to go to work for a little while and since most all the employees are at Beach Week I took Summer into work with me.  She slept for the first hour so I actually got stuff done.  The best thing about my work is that my sister now works there!!!!  We've always done everything together so I'm so happy to be working together again- although, I've been out on maternity leave for most of the time that she's been there so far...

Once Summer woke up she got to "work" with Tia (AKA Aunt Jenny).

 Then Uncle Eric came by to bring lunch so Sum got to see him too!

1 PM

We left work and went and walked around Old Time Pottery for a while.  Just looking, didn't buy anything.  They have soooo much Christmas stuff out already.  I was tempted to buy a small light up tree for the front porch, but I resisted.

2 PM

Home again!  I attempted to get dinner started and ready for Preston to put in the oven for later that evening but Summer refused to let me put her down.  So I cooked as much as I could, held my baby and waited on Preston to get home.

3 - 4 PM

Daddy is home!  I passed Summer off, got dinner finished and off I go to Curves for some resistance training!  I'm trying to loose 5 pounds before the end of the month.  I'm in a wedding on October 30th and my dress won't zip all the way up.. :/

5 PM

Home again and Preston put dinner in the oven for me so time to eat.  I made stuffed peppers. 

Summer usually will sit in this jumper thing while we eat.  It's too big for her but if we stuff her in with blankets then we are good to go.  Pres and I always watch One Life to Live while we eat too.  No, we don't sit at the table.. we sit in front of the TV.  Yes, a bad habit we will have to break when it's time for Summer to start eating solids. 

6:30 - 7 PM

Bed time for Summer.  Preston cleaned the kitchen while I fed Summer and got her to sleep.  She was passed out cold by 7 PM with no crying so it was an easier night than some of the others. 

7 - 9 PM

Sat at the kitchen table and worked for 2 more hours.  Ugh.  Getting really tired at this point.

9:30 PM

Fed Summer for the last time today.  Her night feedings are super easy, she doesn't even wake all the way up.  So up and down she goes. 

11 PM

Finally.... the grand finale!  Bedtime!!!!!!!!!  I'll get two hours of sleep if I'm lucky before I'm up again with the little one. 

And that was my Monday!     :-)
