7 weeks!

Preston and I had our first doctor’s appointment today!  They confirmed that I am indeed pregnant.  I half expected them to tell me that I wasn’t even though I've taken 3 at home pregnancy tests.

I’m 7 weeks now so basically, I was pregnant 2 weeks before I actually conceived.  Weird how that works.  All of the sudden, I AM feeling bigger though…..ah.  Otherwise the appointment wasn’t too exciting.  I didn’t get an ultrasound..  I have to wait two more weeks for that.  My doctor’s office only does ultrasounds on Tuesdays for whatever reason.  I was really hoping for that ultrasound pic too so that I could start making my mom’s surprise Christmas card.  Plus I don’t think it’ll feel real to me until I see the baby and hear its little heartbeat.

Preston has read almost half of them and I have read none.  :/ 

My doctor did give me lists of stuff that I’m allowed to take for colds, headaches, etc.  Gatorade is on the list of things to stay away from and unfortunately, that’s all I’ve drank for the last week, being sick and all.   I missed work on Monday, missed half of Tuesday and now, finally, one week later, I’m starting to feel a little better.  I can’t remember the last time I took a whole day off of work for actually being sick.  I can definitely tell that my immune system is on the fritz.
